Vinyl fence installation in South Florida
PVC / vinyl privacy, semi-privacy and picket fences for homes, pool areas and HOA communities — measured on site, permitted, installed and backed by a 1-year workmanship warranty.
Why South Florida homeowners choose vinyl

Vinyl (PVC) fencing doesn’t rot, never needs painting and isn’t food for termites — three things that matter in a climate with year-round humidity and heavy summer rain. Most of the upkeep is an occasional rinse to wash off dirt and mildew.
It’s the go-to choice when you want full backyard privacy with little maintenance, and it’s widely used in HOA communities.
- Privacy — solid panels for backyards, side yards and pool areas
- Semi-privacy — partial spacing that lets more air through
- Picket — front-yard and decorative fencing (front-yard height limits apply in most cities)
- Colors — white, tan / almond and woodgrain finishes
- Matching gates — walk gates and double driveway gates; driveway gates can be automated (see gates & access control)
Vinyl vs. wood, aluminum and chain link
| Material | Privacy | Upkeep | Usually chosen for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vinyl / PVC | Full or partial | Low — rinse occasionally | Low-maintenance privacy, pool areas, HOA communities |
| Wood (pressure-treated pine) | Full | Higher — sealing / staining, board and post replacement over time | Lowest upfront cost for full privacy, traditional look |
| Aluminum | Open, see-through | Low | Pools, front yards, keeping a view |
| Chain link | Open (privacy slats optional) | Low | Budget projects, pets, large perimeters, commercial |

What affects the price of a vinyl fence
- Total linear footage and fence height
- Style, color and material grade
- Number, width and type of gates
- Removing and hauling away an existing fence (a separate line item)
- Site conditions — slopes, tree roots, rock, tight access, installing on a wall
- Permit requirements, and in Miami-Dade and Broward the stricter High-Velocity Hurricane Zone product rules
- HOA material, color and height restrictions
We don’t publish one-size-fits-all prices. After we measure, you get a written, itemized proposal so you can compare quotes line by line — same height, same gates, same removal and permit scope.
Permits and HOA approval
Most new fences in South Florida need a permit or zoning approval, and many permits require a current survey or site plan showing where the fence and gates go. Many communities also have HOA rules on vinyl color, height and style.
We check your city’s requirements, prepare the specifications your HOA asks for and coordinate the permit. HOA approval is the association’s decision — we help you submit a complete package. See our Palm Beach County fence permit guide for city-by-city rules.

Warranty
FenceFox installations come with a 1-year workmanship warranty. Manufacturer warranties vary by product, and your written proposal lists the exact coverage. The workmanship warranty doesn’t cover storm or hurricane damage, vehicle impact, deliberate damage, or damage caused by later modifications or landscaping work.
Already have a damaged vinyl fence? See vinyl fence repair — cracked panels and popped rails can often be replaced without redoing the whole fence.
Frequently asked questions
Most residential vinyl fences take 1–3 days on site once materials and approvals are in place. Permit review, HOA approval and special-order materials are separate from installation time.
A privacy fence is a solid surface, so it catches wind. Post depth, concrete and gate hardware matter as much as the material — and in Miami-Dade and Broward the permit may require products approved for the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone. No fence is hurricane-proof, and storm damage isn’t covered by the workmanship warranty.
Often, but not always. Colors and profiles vary by manufacturer and change over time, so we check availability before quoting a repair or an extension.
In most South Florida cities, yes — usually with a survey or site plan showing the fence and gates. We confirm the requirements for your address and handle the paperwork.
Yes. Removal and haul-away of an existing fence is quoted as its own line item so you can see exactly what it costs.
Vinyl can be part of a pool barrier if the fence and gates meet Florida’s barrier requirements. Many owners choose aluminum or removable mesh pool fencing around the pool itself for visibility.
