Gate repair — manual, automatic and pool gates
Sagging, dragging or won’t-latch gates, broken hinges, dead keypads and gate operators that stopped working. Text us a photo and we’ll tell you what it likely needs.
Manual gate problems we fix

- Sagging or dragging — worn hinges, a leaning post or a frame that’s gone out of square
- Won’t close or latch — latch alignment, hinge adjustment, post movement
- Broken hinges and latches — replacement hardware
- Leaning gate posts — reset or replace the post
- Double driveway gates that no longer meet in the middle
- Wood gate frames that have racked or rotted
Pool gates that don’t self-close or self-latch
Florida’s pool barrier law requires pool gates to open outward, self-close and self-latch. If yours no longer does, treat it as a safety issue: keep the pool area secured and keep children and pets away until it’s fixed. It’s usually a hinge-tension, sag or latch-alignment problem.

Automatic gate and access control repair
- Swing and slide gate operators (openers)
- Remote controls
- Keypads
- Card and fob readers
- Telephone entry, intercom and video intercom
- Vehicle loop detectors
- Solar gate operators and batteries
Automatic gate repair depends on the equipment. We diagnose first, and we check whether parts for your operator can be sourced. If they can’t, we explain the replacement options before any work is done. Want to automate a manual gate instead? See automatic gates & access control.
Commercial, HOA and property-management gates
Entry gates at communities, warehouses, storage facilities and apartment properties see heavy daily use. A gate that’s stuck open is a security problem and one that’s stuck closed blocks tenants and deliveries — mention that when you text, and we’ll treat it accordingly. See commercial fencing.
What to send us
- A wide shot of the whole damaged area, taken from a few steps back
- Close-ups of the damage — the broken board, cracked panel, torn mesh or bent rail
- The base of any leaning or broken post, where it meets the ground or concrete
- A close-up of the material and color so we can check whether it can be matched
- Gates: the hinge side, the latch side and, for automatic gates, the operator or keypad label
- Your city or ZIP, roughly how many feet or sections are affected, and whether there’s a pool on the property
How gate repairs are priced
Small gate repairs are priced by the service call, parts and labor, with a minimum charge. Larger jobs — a new post, a rebuilt gate, an operator replacement — get a free estimate and a written proposal. You get a price before work starts.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. We handle gate repairs and adjustments regardless of who installed the gate.
Usually worn or loose hinges, a gate post that has shifted, or a frame that has racked out of square. The fix can be as simple as a hinge adjustment or as involved as resetting the post.
Most often the gate has sagged, the hinge tension has weakened or the latch has shifted out of alignment. Keep the pool area secured until it’s fixed.
We work on common swing and slide operators and access-control equipment. If parts for a specific model can’t be sourced, we tell you up front and explain the options.
In many cases, yes. We first check the gate frame, posts, weight, swing or slide geometry, power and safety requirements.
Gate stuck, sagging or not latching?
Text a photo of the hinge side, the latch side and, for automatic gates, the operator label.
