Permits

The Coral Springs fence permit

  • A permit application listing the linear feet of fence and gate sizes, with the Zoning Addendum and Landscape Affidavit
  • A survey showing the fence and setback dimensions to all property lines
  • Product approvals for anything other than chain link or wood
  • A Drainage District approval letter if the lot borders a waterway, and a Fence Easement Agreement for fences in an easement
  • A Notice of Commencement above the city’s job-value threshold
  • Pool fences: plans showing compliance with the residential pool barrier requirements

Coral Springs no longer accepts paper submittals (since January 1, 2026) — we file electronically for you.

Wind design

Built for Broward’s High-Velocity Hurricane Zone

The city’s fence installation requirements point chain link to the code’s High-Velocity Hurricane Zone table and wood fences to the code’s wind-load and wood-fence sections, and say aluminum, PVC and restricted-airflow chain link must be designed to meet the Florida Building Code. We plan the product approvals or design that your fence needs before anything is ordered.
