Residential fence & privacy fence installation

Privacy, pool safety, pet containment and curb appeal for single-family homes, townhomes and HOA communities across South & Central Florida.

Residential

Built around how your family actually uses the yard

A residential fence has to do more than mark a property line: keep the pool code-compliant, keep the dog in, keep the street noise out, and still clear your HOA's design review. We walk every homeowner through those trade-offs on the free site visit, before any contract is signed.

Choosing a material

Which privacy fence fits your yard?

There’s no single best fence for Florida — it depends on what matters most to you. A quick comparison:

MaterialGood forKeep in mind
Vinyl / PVCFull privacy, low maintenance, HOA communities, pool areasNo painting, termite resistant, doesn’t rot like wood
WoodPrivacy at a lower starting cost; board-on-board, shadowbox, picket, horizontalNeeds more maintenance; Florida humidity can shorten its life compared with vinyl or aluminum
AluminumPools, front yards, an open lookLow maintenance and corrosion resistant, but not a privacy fence
Chain linkDog yards, budgets, large perimetersGalvanized or black/green coated; privacy slats where allowed

Basic galvanized chain link is usually the least expensive installed fence; if you need full privacy, pressure-treated wood is usually the lowest-cost option. Quality aluminum and vinyl generally need less upkeep in South Florida conditions. Full comparison: fence types.

Before we dig

What to sort out before a residential install

  • Survey and property line — the fence location follows your survey and the city’s setbacks; we don’t decide where your legal line is.
  • HOA approval — very common in South Florida. Send us your HOA guidelines and we supply the specifications for the application.
  • Permit — most new fences need a permit or zoning approval. Rules by city: Palm Beach County, Broward, Treasure Coast.
  • Utilities and private lines — public utilities are located before digging, but private sprinkler, landscape lighting and pool lines usually aren’t marked. Tell us where they run.
  • Old fence, gates and pool — let us know if the old fence needs removal, how many gates you need, and whether there’s a pool (pool barriers have their own rules).
FAQ

Residential fence questions

Pressure-treated wood is generally the lowest-cost full-privacy option. For an exact price we measure the property on a free on-site estimate.

Quality aluminum and vinyl generally need less maintenance and last longer than untreated or poorly maintained wood in Florida’s heat and humidity.

Possibly. Allowable height depends on where the fence sits on the lot, your city, your HOA and how the existing fence is built — we inspect before recommending an extension.

Often, yes, depending on the wall structure and the fence system. The estimator checks the wall and the attachment method on site.

We keep disturbance to a minimum, but digging post holes and moving materials along the fence line can cause some localized lawn or landscaping disturbance.

For installation it depends on property access and the project details. For the estimate it helps if the decision-maker is there so we can review the layout and options together.
