Local considerations

Lagoon-front lots and the Jensen Beach CRA

On lots along the Indian River Lagoon and other navigable water, fences can’t be within 25 feet of the waterway unless they run perpendicular to the shoreline. Jensen Beach is also one of Martin County’s six Community Redevelopment Areas, so front-yard fences inside the CRA have to meet its design standards, height and materials.

Salt air is hard on fences here — we’ll talk through aluminum and vinyl options for waterfront lots.
