Aluminum fence installation

Black, bronze and white aluminum picket, ornamental, estate and pool-code fencing — an open, low-maintenance fence that won’t rust the way steel and iron do in South Florida’s salt air.

Why aluminum

An open fence that works near the coast

Black aluminum fence and gate installation

Aluminum gives you the look of an ornamental iron fence — slim pickets and an open sightline — without iron’s rust problem. That makes it a common choice around pools, along front yards, on waterfront lots where owners want to keep the view, and for estate entrances.

  • Styles — picket, ornamental, estate and commercial-grade
  • Pool-code styles — with self-closing, self-latching gates (see pool fencing)
  • Colors — black, bronze and white
  • Gates — walk gates and double driveway gates; driveway gates can be automated with keypad, remote or intercom access
  • On walls — aluminum can often be mounted on top of an existing wall, depending on the wall’s structure
Compare

Aluminum or custom steel / wrought iron?

Aluminum is lighter, doesn’t rust and usually costs less than custom steel. Custom steel and wrought iron is heavier and fully custom — a better fit for large decorative driveway gates or high-security perimeters, but it needs more coating maintenance in a coastal climate. For large or automated driveway gates we size the gate, posts and operator to the opening and will tell you if steel is the better choice.

Pricing

What affects the price of an aluminum fence

  • Total linear footage and fence height
  • Style, color and material grade
  • Number, width and type of gates
  • Removing and hauling away an existing fence (a separate line item)
  • Site conditions — slopes, tree roots, rock, tight access, installing on a wall
  • Permit requirements, and in Miami-Dade and Broward the stricter High-Velocity Hurricane Zone product rules
  • HOA material, color and height restrictions
  • Pool-code gates and hardware, and taller or estate-style panels

You’ll get a written, itemized proposal after the free on-site measurement — no guessing from a price list.

Permits & HOA

Permits and HOA approval

Front-yard fences often have lower height limits than back yards, and many HOAs specify the aluminum color and picket style. We check both before you commit and coordinate the permit. City-by-city details are in our fence permit guide.

How it works

How an aluminum fence project works

  1. Text or call — tell us the city, what you want fenced and roughly how long the run is. Photos help.
  2. Free on-site estimate — we measure, check gates, access, the existing fence, pool and HOA requirements.
  3. Written proposal — materials, height, gates, removal and permit items itemized. Quotes are typically ready within 2–48 hours of the visit.
  4. HOA approval (if you have one) — we provide the fence specifications your association asks for.
  5. Permit — we prepare and submit the permit paperwork your city or county requires.
  6. Utility locate — required utility marking is completed before we dig. Let us know about private sprinkler, lighting or pool lines.
  7. Installation — most residential fences take 1–3 days on site; larger or custom jobs take longer.
  8. Inspection & walkthrough — we complete any required inspection, walk the fence line with you and hand over your warranty.
Warranty

Warranty

FenceFox installations come with a 1-year workmanship warranty. Manufacturer warranties vary by product, and your written proposal lists the exact coverage. The workmanship warranty doesn’t cover storm or hurricane damage, vehicle impact, deliberate damage, or damage caused by later modifications or landscaping work.

Bent pickets or a damaged section? Aluminum fence repair is often a section replacement rather than a new fence.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Aluminum doesn’t rust the way steel and iron do, which is why it’s popular near the coast. An occasional rinse keeps the finish looking its best.

Yes, if the fence and gates meet Florida’s pool barrier requirements — including at least 4 feet of height on the outside and gates that open outward, self-close and self-latch. See pool fence installation.

Aluminum driveway gates are common. For wide, heavy or automated gates we size the gate, posts and operator to the opening, and sometimes recommend steel instead.

Often, yes — it depends on the wall’s construction. The estimator inspects the wall and determines the attachment method.

Black, bronze and white. If your HOA specifies a color or picket style, send us the guidelines and we’ll match them.
